New dates, new formats — same Alps Epic DNA

04.03.26 12:42 PM

After 10 years of great adventures (and a post-COVID reset), the Alps Epic comes back stronger in 2026: the spirit stays the same, and the race evolves in the ways many riders have been waiting for.

New dates: 7–12 September 2026 (early check-in possible on 6 September).

Moving to late summer helps avoid early-season snow, fits better with the international calendar, and gives everyone more time to prepare for a great edition.

Race format:

  • 6 stages to explore the Hautes-Alpes even deeper.
  • Stage 1 introduces a semi individual time-trial format.
  • The remaining stages will be mass-start, just like always.
Two races, one epic week
  • Two events run on the same dates: MTB and Gravel.
  • Choose your challenge — race it hard, or ride it to live the full experience.
100% rideable mindset
  • A clear commitment to the “100% bike” objective.
  • Minimal hike-a-bike whenever possible.
  • Climbs designed to be as rideable as possible, descents with a flow spirit.
Packs upgraded:
